Hi! I’m Christina, and welcome to my yoga YouTube channel, ChriskaYoga! This is a 15 minute yoga routine for bedtime. You can do this sequence on your bed or on a yoga mat. This Bedtime Yoga routine will help you relax and get a great night’s sleep. It is designed to release tension from the key areas of your body where stress is held throughout the day. You can even make it a part of your nighttime routine. You may need a yoga strap, but you can substitute this with a scarf or belt.
This sequence will begin in easy pose (sukhasana), and we’ll do some head and neck circles and shoulder rolls to relieve tension in your neck. Then we’ll lay on our back on the floor, and hug knees into chest (apanasana) to relax and unwind. Following this, we’ll hug one leg in (eka pada apanasana) and add some movement, then come into a supine twist and half happy baby pose (dead bug pose) to release tight hip muscles and the stress we carry there. After both right and left, we’ll do full happy baby pose.
Then we’ll take supine pigeon pose (thread the needle) in the center and with a twist. Following this on both sides, we’ll take a brief constructive rest into savasana for deep relaxation.
